This vintage interview with Timothy Dalton explores Dalton's decision to make 007 darker in Licence To KillLicence To Kill - a risk which proved unpopular at the time, but which worked well when Daniel Craig tried it many years later. Dalton justifies the risk with an excellent point: "it would be boring to be the same all the time, to have the same story. I don’t wish to abuse the word, but there is a.. .formula, which has to do with Bond versus the villain, with good vs. evil also in Bond himself. In celebration of her 77th birthday this Wednesday, Shirley Bassey Week continues with this article from 2009, which reported that popular music singer Shirley Bassey, perhaps best known for singing the title songs to the James Bond films "GoldfingerGoldfinger", "Diamonds Are ForeverDiamonds Are Forever", and "MoonrakerMoonraker", would release her first album since 1999 later in 2009.
